This project was started by Juan Matias Montes and was taken to a professional level when meeting with Jean Sebastien Girard (award-winning producer and musician from Canada)
Jean Sebastien recruited a professional drummer from Ivory Cost Momo Soro who played with(Alpha Blondy, and Tiken Jah Fakoly) just to name a few and a bassist from Argentina Dhamian Barionuevo.
The synergy of these 4 musicians created the unique sound of Belosanto taking its audience through a musical journey like no other.

Pianist/ keyboard player/producer/composer born 1974
Jean Sebastien started Piano lessons at the age of 5 with the Vincent d’Indy Classical Musical School and studied there until the age of 12. Is love for music in general brought him to various styles of music from classical, jazz, blues, pop, flamenco, afrobeat, ska, and reggae.
At the age of 22, he performed and produced his first project called Kaliroots an 11-piece roots reggae band that led them to be nominated for Best World Music Album in 2000 and winner in 2001 for the same category in Quebec Canada at the Adisq celebrations.

From an early age, he developed a passion for percussion. He even built his own drums using cans and cardboard boxes. This dedication is what led Momo to be noticed by the Ivorian orchestra Les Mewlessel and take part in his first world tour.
Momo Soro has shared the stage with some of the world’s biggest stars, most notably as a drummer for Alpha Blondy and Tiken Jah Fakoly.
As soon as Momo launches into a drum solo, time seems to stop in one of those inexplicably beautiful moments where only sound matters.
Whether playing a reggae beat, improvising jazz, or singing a song in honor of Charles Aznavour, he is one of those artists who fully lives and breathes their music. A master drummer who plays his instrument with conviction and pure joy, he will forever be inspired by the rhythms of his youth back in Korhogo.
Not only has he played with some of the biggest names in world music, he is also a talented composer and arranger who knows how to bring out the best of those with whom he shares the stage and to convey a whole range of emotions to his audience.
Knowing Jean Sebastien for over 20 years both of them sharing the desire to one day work on a project together. That day happened in March 2023 when Momo visited Jean Sebastien in Costa Rica and was introduced to Matias and Dhamian for a series of shows where the energies instantly connected and was born the sound of Belosanto that we hear today.
